When Jana from Jane Amor reached out about an editorial shoot at the stunning Solton Manor, I knew it was going to be something different. And different it absolutely was.
This wasn’t your typical bridal shoot. Dark romance, dramatic styling, gothic elegance this was a full creative production and it needed more than a beautiful location and talented suppliers. It needed someone behind the scenes making sure the moving parts actually moved.
My role on the day was twofold: supporting Jana in coordinating the shoot flow and ensuring she got the shots she needed and supporting the brilliant Tanya from All in One Events with her table styling. Anyone who has been on a shoot of this scale knows that the styling alone is a full-time job and having an extra pair of experienced hands makes the difference between a smooth creative day and a stressful one.
The vision was bold. Black velvet draping, gold candelabras, deep red roses, dramatic cake artistry, gothic table settings and gowns that genuinely stopped you in your tracks. The kind of editorial that shows venues and couples what is truly possible when the right team comes together. Solton Manor provided the most incredible backdrop from the exposed brick and timber barn to the manicured grounds and every corner of that venue was used intentionally.
What I love about this kind of work is that it sits right at the heart of what I do. Coordination isn’t just about weddings and events themselves it’s about understanding a creative vision and making it deliverable. On a shoot day, that means keeping the schedule on track, managing supplier communication, anticipating what’s needed next and creating the conditions for everyone else to do their best work. Quietly, efficiently, without fuss.
For venue owners, managers and directors this shoot is worth paying attention to. Not just for the imagery, but for what it demonstrates. A space like Solton Manor, styled with this level of intention, shows couples and corporate clients exactly what is possible. Styled shoots done well are one of the most powerful marketing tools a venue has. They attract the right clientele, they elevate perceived value, and they give your sales team content that actually converts.
The talent behind this shoot was exceptional across the board.
