There’s something special about Byre Barn in winter. The rustic beams, the soft natural light, the stone floors that hold the chill of the season it all creates the perfect canvas for bold, modern wedding inspiration. When Tanya brought together a powerhouse team of creatives for a content shoot at the venue, I was delighted to support her both on the day and as the venue contact for Byre Barn.

What unfolded was a masterclass in texture, tone and trend led styling.

A Vision Rooted in Fabric, Colour & Depth

This shoot was all about richness deep burgundies, layered satins, velvet textures, sculptural florals and accessories that felt both editorial and wearable. The palette leaned into the current movement toward bold winter romance: saturated reds, dark fruits, pearls and candlelight that created a sense of drama without losing elegance.

The styling team embraced fabric as a design element in its own right. Draped satin, gathered textiles and flowing materials framed the tablescape and ceremony setups, adding movement and depth to every shot. It was a perfect example of how modern couples can elevate a rustic venue with contemporary, fashion forward details.

The Shoot: A Blend of Creativity & Craft

With Tanya leading the organisation and supplier curation, the day ran seamlessly. My role was to support the flow, coordinate with the venue and ensure every setup worked harmoniously within the space.

The result? A gallery full of rich, cinematic imagery that showcases Byre Barn at its most atmospheric.

Key Highlights

• The Tablescape: Deep burgundy draping, layered candlelight, red florals and pearl accents created a luxurious, moody aesthetic.

• The Fashion: Dresses with movement, texture and modern silhouettes paired beautifully with bold accessories and statement hair styling.

• The Details: Fruit, velvet shoes, layered stationery and bespoke rings added editorial depth and storytelling to the flatlays.

• The Models: Lauren and Chris brought warmth and personality, grounding the dramatic styling with real connection.

Every element worked together to create a cohesive, on trend winter look that couples can draw inspiration from for 2026–2027 weddings.

The Creative Team

A shoot is only as strong as the team behind it and this one was exceptional.

Why Shoots Like This Matter

For Byre Barn, this shoot provides a fresh bank of content that reflects current trends and shows couples what’s possible within the space. For suppliers, it’s a chance to showcase their craft in a cohesive, high end setting. And for couples, it’s a source of inspiration that blends rustic charm with modern luxury.

Supporting Tanya on this project was a joy and the final images speak for themselves. Byre Barn continues to shine as a versatile, atmospheric venue and this shoot captures its winter personality perfectly.
